Does the governor of California have the legal authority to arbitrarily declare mail-in voting? I always thought voting procedures were established thru the legislature.

The Peoples Republik of California dosen't really have a Governor anymore. Premier Newsom runs the place.

We have mail in voting in Ohio many years and our last Primary we voted by mail for the first time and Trump won the Primary vote by the usual 3 to 1 and 4 to 1 in our local counties the same as the 2016 election. It’s a very well run system in Ohio, you need a lot of ID to get the ballet.

States are responsible for the administration of state and federal elections.

CA is a one party state. Whether the governor can decide or the legislature has to do it doesn’t matter because it will be done either way. There is no opposition here.

Does it matter in Cal. We know how Cal. , N.Y. and Il. votes. All 3 are lost causes and great places to flee from.
