MikeinNCMachinist help needed...SOLVED thanks HRK
All hail the allknowing SigForum!
Guys, I’ve been trying to find a baffle tool for removing the baffle stack from a suppressor. Well AAC doesn’t make them anymore and of course I need one to press out the baffle stack I have because I waited too long before removing mine.
I am wondering how hard would it be for someone to make me the part that threads into the suppressor (circled in red) and I could cobble the rest of the tool using threaded rod I could buy from a big box store....?
The exterior threads on the circled part is standard 1/2” x 28 which is typical for 22 suppressors.
The tool is an AAC Element baffle removal
Link to a better pic of the tool.

stoic-oneI'm not a machinist, but take a look at the SS 18-8 stuff halfway down this page, and get some rod for the backside and a pair of nuts crimped together?

Yeah, gun threads are different than other stuff on the planet....those gunsmiths must have a very strong guild for them to settle on obscure thread patterns. Only guns use 1/2 x 28
