Heat breaks up loctite. Don't know if the part in question gets hot or not, but you may be better off with a mechanical means like lock washers.
Good suggestion. I don't have any high temperature (450F) lock-tite so I'll go the lock washer route.

You could buy some Rocksett - it's like Loctite but good up to 2000 degrees. (It's weak enough you can easily undo it without trying to heat it like the stronger kinds of Loctite.)

Doesn't being exposed to water cause Rocksett to let loose?

I'm not sure. Rocksett is described as a "ceramic cement" and the manufacturer's website says "Rocksett withstands oil, fuels, acids, alkalis." Given most common acids and alkalis are solutions of something in water, it seems like for this to be true, it must "withstand" water, too.

I searched, and there are lots of posts on gun discussion forums saying "soak your Rocksetted muzzle device in water overnight before you try to take it off," but I can't find anything remotely official or anything from the manufacturer that says Rocksett is water soluble.

You can tell where both the dome (aka top half of BGE) and the variable vent sat in the lawn for about 20 minutes.

After I picked them both up, I ran the sprinklers 5 minutes plus the zone got its normal 0.5" of water at 5:30 AM.

On top of that, finishing cooking at 650+ without a lid caused brittle cracking in the waterproof container for my BBQ Guru in.

So, you’re telling me to check my nuts... All good!

I actually just adjusted the retention rings today.
