I really appreciate that; I put a lot of effort into them. This one was fun and there's a lot more coming. The Spear video is uploaded already, just waiting on the word to publish it.

What days were you up at SSA doing the interview?

I was up there on the last week in July. The factory was closed to visitors due to COVID but I spent a good deal of time at the Academy. In addition to the Spear video, full vids on the LMG68, SLH/SLX and MODX silencers, a new version of the MCX and the P320, plus a few other things are all on the way.

I was there just a day or two after that.

They were ripping belt-fed fire the whole time. I couldn't get anything but a cheeky confirmation from the instructor if it was the MG68. Were they doing a media blitz at that time for gun journos, or something else? Do you know?

I'm just assuming it wasn't part of the Team SIG Challenge or whatever that new class is called. Too sustained all day for 3 consecutive days.

There was the Sig P320 FCU press junket but that ended on Thursday or Friday. The Firearm Blog spoke with Sig in advance about scheduling a private range day with all the new and soon-to-be-introduced gear. The LMG68 and MG338 were indeed part of the mix and we were ripping them on Friday or Saturday. The LMG is still in prototype phase and a number of parts were still in the white, so it is being extensively tested, The goal is for the MG338 to overlap with the low end of the M2 and high end of the M240, while the LMG68 will be a stand-in replacement for the M240 and overlap with the M249. Essentially, they are designing two machine guns to replace three.

The 8” MPX answer seems to not understand the concept of pistol braces but the 10mm 320 is intriguing. Thanks Obey for another solid interview and check your old gmail if you still have access.

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Ha. He clarified off camera to say that he meant that even in *ahem* pistol form, still not a big seller.

You can email me at James@tfb.tv or my personal jjreevesii@gmail.com. I'm not shy about emails.

Thanks for the "official" confirmation of my suspicions!

My dad was also up there for his first class and he told me at the end of the day with surprise, "They were shooting machine guns all day somewhere!" LOL, yeah dad. Smile
