David LeeThis mornings eye candy here on Shelby Street....
It's a 2 lane one way street, named after Kentuckys 1st Governor. A 1969 GT 500 Shelby Mustang in the rare Black Jade color with white accents. Internet says only 88 cars in that dark green color in 1969. I've never even seen a dark green GT 500. A rare little bird. There are lots of local car shows and many a beautiful machines here. A dark green Shelby....love at first sight.

GustoferTimely post. Went down to the big city today and was passed on the street by a dark green Cobra. The whole encounter lasted less than five seconds, so pics, but I heard the rumble as he went by.
I've only seen one other dark green Cobra around these parts and it is owned by an old friend of mine (my former chief pilot). I had the distinct pleasure of driving it around the block once about 30 years ago and it's something I'll always remember.
He told me once that he bought it when he was home on leave from Vietnam (gunship pilot) and paid around $6,000 for it. At the time it was appraised at $250K, Good investment.
