I don't know how that happened. Can't accuse my wife because she bought them. Now I see the Kit Kats are really low (she likes them). So I just hit up the bag with M&Ms. OK, I shared them with a grandson as he was leaving. Then maybe I got another kid size bag, just to test them for freshness or whatever.

I can only conclude we're going to need more by Saturday night. But if we get them too soon, they might vanish. Even wives are not to be trusted.

I get no kids out here in the boonies, but still I buy some bags of candy...just in case. You never know.

Well, the Smarties and the Almond Joys are gone.

I will eat candy one bite less than being ill.
Then drink hot mint tea and eat more.
Like I do every year, tending my brother's porch.

We haven't had any Trick or Treaters since we move here in 2000 but I still buy the candy. It's usually gone within a week but I have no idea where it went to.

We've managed to maintain a stealth cone of invisibility over the last 40+ years & never had to participate in the festival....ok, maybe gravel roads & no sidewalks helped set the 'unwelcomed' scene during most of that era.......

My wife has told me the candy bought is for the trick or treaters. I told her that I do not think it is enough. In the last 4 years we really did not have to worry much about it. But this year we happen to be in an RV/mobile home park so I think we do. I don’t think 40 mini candy bars will suffice the number of zombies out and about. I think Reese’s purchase should be considered for backup or SHTF situations.

Sharp Shoppers had the Snickers 8-pack marked down to 50 cents several weeks ago. Nothing like stocking up.

The best time to buy candy to after a holiday and WalMart puts items on sale at half price or less.

There must be some kind of manufacturing defect at Reese's... we might have a class action suit here, fellas.

We haven't had Trick or Treaters around here for years. They've all grown up, moved away & have their own kids. My wife & I still buy a large variety of candy, just in case, & it all disappears.
