For those who don’t follow, we like to think this is the premier hockey tournament in the country...it rarely fails to disappoint.

One of the highlights the last decade has been celebrating the “lettuce” or “hockey hair!”

Initially, it was just the hair...but as the hockey hair videos gained popularity, players started playing to the camera.

It’s for a good cause; I think the fellow who creates the video knows when it’s time to bow out.

Hey, we’ve got to do something to amuse ourselves! (And, top honors went to a player from my wife’s alma matter!)

I've watched the Minnesota high school hockey tournaments for years. I used to take vacation from work to stay home and watch it. These kids absolutely play their hearts out. The sheer joy of winning and the agony of defeat are evident and real on the faces of these kids. Win or lose no participation trophies it carries enough respect that just getting there and playing is your participation trophy.
