Recommendation for All in One Color Printer
I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium color printer. It's a Color printer, Fax, Scanner and copies all in the same platform (machine). Has Bluetooth, WiFi and Ethernet connections etc. It's performed reasonably well but is long in the tooth and I want to be ready.

I started looking for its replacement today and was appalled by the reviews for similar machines by HP, especially their attempt at enrolling you in their ink program as part of having the machine perform correctly (or so it seems).

I prefer to have a color printer that can Print, copy and Scan. Fax capability isn't needed. Having Bluetooth and WiFi capability is necessary.

Anyone with recommendations? I'm not wedded to HP and open minded to other brand choices that have the above capabilities and are reliable. Thanks!

I don't have an all-in-one, but I've been perfectly happy with color LED (vs. laser) and monochrome laser Brother printers.

Haven't cared much for HP ink jets in a lot of years.

What kind of use?
What of the AIO do you use the most?
Any specific requirements other than "it's time to refresh"?

Additional question, what sort of quality of print are you looking for?

If print quality doesn't need to be photo or presentation quality, the Epson ecotank line might be worthwhile. That printer allows the user to add ink from a bottle rather than having a cartridge system. Sadly the print quality would be good for use at college or highschool level. The quality can be bumped up but them it is snail's pace. We have used one for approximately 4 years at the office with several boxes of paper through it at a draft quality setting without issue.

Almost all of our non-commercial printers are Brother B&W or color.
I don't think we have any MFP Brother printers that I can remember offhand, those are mostly HPs & a pain to manage.

Our hardware guy was looking at printers earlier this week, and supply is low & prices higher than average (compared to about 6-9 months ago).

I haven't used HP printers for years. They're not what they once were, IMO.

We used a Brother MFC-J615W for years. When that started showing its age I replaced it with an Epson ET-3750, which appears to be working well. (I couldn't find a Brother machine I liked for our needs.)

Home office use. For work I print Word docs, spreadsheets, PowerPoint decks, the usual home office stuff. For home use, it's almost the same.

I use color and B/W printing the most and would like pretty decent quality. I'm willing to pay a little extra for quality and reliability. I wouldn't expect a $250 AIO is going to meet my expectations.

The printing from the current HP 8600 AIO is really pretty good.

I have three HP M477fdw's All-in-One's. I use one at home and two at the office. Have all the capabilities you listed. Been happy with them. Have had for several years. Toner cartridges are not cheap but I don't think they are any worse than others.

I have the smaller version of ^^ The 277dw all-in-one. It was a steal in 2016 for $260. Still haven't needed to replace any toner cartridges yet. But that's because I have a 23 year old HP Laserjet 6MP for B&W that just runs and runs.

I will never buy an ink jet again.

I have an HP color printer/scanner, it has been excellent. You can use aftermarket cartridges, just need to move the chip to the new cartridge.

Takes about 90 seconds to move the chip, but first time took me 10 minutes. The youtube video directions were incorrect.

Several months back I finally booted HP printers out my life , at least at home. I’ve had some real good ones over the years, and some real bad ones, but more bad then good.

We ended up buying an eco tank model Epson, ST-3000 I think. We print a LOT of black and white and some color as we homeschool 3 kiddos plus support several other families with print outs. Our last couple printers had been color laser AIO.

This Epson works great. Every time. Can’t say the same about the old HP. We mostly use wireless printing and have not yet had a hiccup.

And ink usuals is impressive. We’ve easily done hundreds and hundreds of black and whites and we aren’t even halfway through the tank yet, which you can easily see at a glance.

And when we do have to get more ink, it is super cheap, especially compared to HP toner cartridges.

Couldn’t be happier. Go with an Epson eco tank.

Canon G7020. Large tanks - the printer is a little more expensive but the ink storage and price are much better.

We opted for a Brother MFC-9340CDW. It's a color laserjet with all of the bells and whistles. We have been very happy with it, and it doesn't use ink to clog the print heads.

The Epson Eco-Tank machines are quite nice especially for the consumables.

Depending on your scanning requirements you could separate by buying a nice laser and a separate scanner unit buying each based on the requirements of use.

IMO, you have to go beyond generalized recommendations and look to your own use.
