My mother in law is French.

The baguette is pretty good. Smile

You're not far from Normandy beaches and cemeteries. Even if it's not much time, try to visit. Mont St Michelle is awesome too.

Yes. In fact, her and our three children are flying to France for the summer next week. I'll join them in August after I'm finished working.

I've never visited Le Mans, but if you're going to head to the north coast, you might like to check out Saint-Malo as well. It's an old, very cool, walled city on the English Channel coast. The Brittany region is where my wife is from.

We are hoping to go to France next year to retrace my FIL WW2 campaign. Would love to tie the 24 hours of LeMans or the Belgium GP into that trip.

Would love to see any of the Porsches in anger. I also read that there’s going to be a Mustang competing???

Awesome. Enjoy the race and the environment.

Are you going to tough it out for the full 24hrs?
Definitely curious to see how the NASCAR does out there.

From another source:
NASCAR weight: 3,300 pounds (1496kg)
WEC Hypercar weight: 980 kg (2,160 lb)
WEC GT weight 1,245 kilograms (2,745 lb)

Yeah that's going to be interesting, the Camaro looks huge on the track, going the distance, barring anything silly should be durable enough.

I would love to see Le Mans. One thing is for sure, there’s no way I’d get that close to Herstal, Belgium and not go see the FN factory where John Browning died.

The day is amazing they are on a 3 hour run. The nascar 56 sounds amazing and the caddy is killing it. We have a track and paddock tour later today.

Cool, part of my family lived in La Mans
Also where my Grand Uncle was inducted into the Foreign Legion (RMLE WW1).

I’ll have to visit next time… big fan of racing.
