The problem is that they have no leverage. Since VA governor is limited to one term and he knows that his political future is over, they can't threaten to withhold funding or support for any future political bid. He has nothing to gain by resigning.

I voted "never" just because I hope this lasts long enough to knock him, his lieutenant governor and maybe a few more prominent Dem politicians out of politics.

Democrats have no shame. He will not resign. They will drag him kicking and screaming from the office before he resigns.

That's right.
He'll never be able to run for political office again. His private sector job opportunities are also probably limited.
So, why wouldn't he ride it out? He has nothing left to lose.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Not necessarily. He sounds like he has a future working for Planned Parenthood. Wink

Planned Parenthood has asked him to resign. Link Apparently they find the yearbook photos offensive but are OK with whacking the newborns.

Why would he quit, He's done as a politician, done as a pediatrician, why not stick it out for the retirement check and fade in to the sunset.

Besides if you look at just about any big story in the media, it's done in a week and no one remembers shit.

I voted never. We’ll see. He needs to stay in as long as possible letting the Dems consume each other. Razz
The lieutenant governor isn’t much better.

True and the Attorney General is way worse. Hell he might be the one to have leaked the story on old Fairfax.

Folks, haven't the politically correct squad gone too far ???. Bill Cosby I can understand, but digging up crap on somebody from 20-25 yrs ago ,I think, is a bit much, and so flimsy a charge !!
Granted times change but we should not be looking for things of this nature. 25 yrs. ago it was PC to dress in black face. What happened to those people of color that were screaming for "reparations"??
I know I for one have become more attuned to the PC of the commercials I watch on the "boob tube"

It's not about what he did, it's about the double standard.

Isn't the Lt. Gov worse than the Gov?

In which case let's hope not. Damaged in office might be better than gone.

I don't think many here care at all about Governor Frank Drebin's black face from 35 years ago. Not a wit.

When you keep throwing money at elections the way Michael Bloomberg has done for the Democrats in Virginia, eventually you'll elect the best candidates money can buy.

If you really want to see something eye opening, pull up the Campaign Finance Disclosure reports on the Virginia State Board of Elections Web site and see how much money Planned Parenthood of New York has contributed to various Democrats around the state of Virginia.

Edit: OK Technically it is Planned Parenthood of Virginia PAC that is making the contributions. However, when you pull up the Large Contribution Reports for the Planned Parenthood of Virginia PAC you see that the bulk of their money is coming out of New York City.
