The wicked flee when no man pursueth |
I had an RSV Mille R (Oz wheels and all the Ohlins bits). When it was running, it was like riding an Italian sex goddess. Most of the time it seemed like it wasn't. Between my friends and I we have had the gambit of Aprilias (Mille series, Tuonos, and RSVR's). Seriously, they are finicky bikes. I live in the SF Bay Area where we have several dealers and plenty of support. Even so, my Mille always had starting issues and I watched my friend deal with plastic fuel tank nightmares. My next Italian will be a Ducati. Proverbs 28:1

I don’t know where in the USA you are but the dealer in Mc Henry MD had 3 2017 RF’s earlier this year and they're probably still there. Extreme PowerSports. They generslly sell at a good discount No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

I am in Maryland about a two hour drive from that dealer. They also advertise that they don't charge delivery and setup fees. If I cant find one closer, I will give them a visit.

That was my second KTM and I am just fed up with their lack of customer support. The bike was nice but I just grew to resent owning and riding it. I might just be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire with Aprilia.

Yes I did finally settle on a 2017 ZX14R and I am very happy with it. Originally none of the Japanese bikes caught my attention until I looked at the Ninja 1000 which I almost purchased but then I found a leftover 2017 ZX14R for only a few hundred more than the 1000. I decided to take the ZX14R for a test ride and I was sold. The dealership had the bike discounted by 4300 bucks so that made it affordable, insurance surprisingly was cheaper than everything else I looked at, 200 hp made it more than fast enough and I found the riding position was comfortable for me despite the fact the lean angle was more aggressive than the Tuono. While I had no interest in Jap bikes the ZX14R grew on me the more I researched it and learned more about it.
