cslingerFor a basic low profile soundbar with decent lows without a sub at an inexpensive price look at the Yamaha ATS 1060 or 1070 etc.

kimberkidWe've tried Visio & Samsung(which was a huge step up at moderate price increase)
After the Samsung (gave it to daughter along with TV)
Then got a JVC(?) that BT wouldn't stay connected to sub ... Stepped up to the cheapest Bose with a sub and 2 years later its still way better!

ubelongoutsideI would not recommend Polk. I bought one with a wireless sub.
The sub died shortly after the 1 year warranty was up and Google told me it's a very common failure.

radiomanget one that mates well with your TV. For example, make sure the volume control on your TV remote actually controls the soundbar.
I hate analog connections to a speaker. I go with HDMI for the audio to soundbars. YMMV.

rbert0005If all you want is to hear the dialog better Bose makes one just for that.
I have had one for a couple years now and it works great. Under 200 bucks too.

VeeperWe had this for a while:
https://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-S...251&s=gateway&sr=8-8Sounded GREAT!
We now have a SONOS Playbar, but man oh man that little Vizio was awesome for what it was.
No HDMI ARC, IIRC. Just Optical in from the TV.
