Should have posted on the forum-would have taken you out onto the big lake on our lake boat...rare to get holiday weekends like that up here.

An interesting thing about Glensheen: It was built at the dawn of the electrification age. Its light fixtures are electric, but with coal gas feeds too, in case electricity proved to be a passing fad. Smile

Also, its kitchen sinks were made of soft tin, rather than enameled cast iron, so if the household staff dropped a piece of fine chinaware it’d be less likely to break.

It is a glorious old place.
