I bought this wood at Home Depot 3 or 4 years ago. It's left over from my backyard retaining wall and gazebo platform project.

Having never heard of this I looked, and I'm not finding much of anything re: sodium silicate PT product, nor am I finding anything new.
A quick perusal of the internet says there’s quite a bit of it in Arizona’s Petrified Forest. Otherwise, I didn’t find much either.

What I did find was by eliminating the arsenic more copper is used in the latest commonly found pressure treated woods which causes problems with galvanic corrosion with previously acceptable fasteners. Also, some of the arsenic free copper compounds do not require California Prop 65 labeling which makes me wonder if burning them would be OK.

I wouldn’t use it to make a planter box for any vegetable I’d be eating.

The disposal of treated lumber by burning has serious health and environmental risks. In fact, it's illegal to burn in all 50 states. Treated wood is also called CCA lumber. CCA is an abbreviation of Copper, Chromium and Arsenic.

CCA hasn’t been used in commonly available pressure treated wood since 2003. The pressure treated wood we average Joes can buy since then has no arsenic or chromium. Instead, it has more copper.

The data sheet on the lumber I have says it Copper Azole. I found a piece with the manufacturer name and the product name.

Although the fine print says DON'T BURN.
