Short version, slipped & fell [luckily, she wasn't going fast] bonked tooth & nose. Upper front tooth came out whole. Minimal pain [very little fussing] and didn't bleed a lot. Doesn't seem like the neighboring teeth were affected Anything to be done, or just keep an eye on it? The Enemy's gate is down.

Is it her baby tooth? I assume it is if shes 3. If youre quick and its the whole tooth root included, sometimes you can stick it right back in- good luck with that on a toddler. For now place the tooth in a sealed ziplock bag with milk in the fridge and call your dentist emergency line asap. "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. Years ago, my young sister did the same, but at about 6 years old. My father just shoved the tooth back in the socket, then took her to the dentist, who told him he did the right thing. I don't remember if the dentist did anything else. I'm assuming it's too late to replace your girl's tooth, but take it and her to the dentist ASAP and maybe it can be saved. Good luck! Edited to add that Medic451 is right, if it's a baby tooth she should be fine. -------------------------- Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H L Mencken I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. -- JALLEN 10/18/18

Good time to sign her up for those ice hockey lessons. "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them." - John Wayne in "The Shootist"

Put the tooth in milk until morning to try to save the root. The dentist is likely going to care more about damage to the bone under the gum. Proverbs 28:1

Sometimes dentists will put in a spacer where the lost tooth was. The spacer stops the surrounding teeth from crowding the space left from missing tooth.

Friend of mine has 4 brothers, his younger brother was the baby of the family. Rowdy bunch, raised in rural Alabama. Screwing around one afternoon, playing a version of tag wherein the 'it' person was blinfolded. One of the older brothers deliberately hid behind a tree and called out, hoping to get the youngest to bang into the tree. Kid RAN, crashed into the tree face-first, fell down & they saw his two front teeth (roots and all) embedded in the trunk. Lots of crying and some blood. Dad heard the commotion, came running - saw the teeth, said "Hold him!!". Brothers stood him up, dad immediately jammed both front teeth back in. Kid screamed, my friend says "They're in backwards!". Yep, dad yanked them back out again & re-inserted them right side out. Poor kid fainted from the pain. (I heard the story years later, never saw anything awry with the youngest brothers teeth) Buddy could've been pulling my chain, but knowing all five sons as I did, I give the story 80% chance of true. <>< America, Land of the Free - because of the Brave

Retired orthodontist It’s worth calling your dentist and getting an x-ray to check the permanent tooth underneath. How long was the root? Are you sure it was entirely avulsed and not fractured?

Got in to the dentist first thing this morning. She said they don't really advise reinserting baby teeth, as it can have negative effects on the adult tooth. Otherwise, no fragments left behind, the whole tooth & root came out. She said everything looks ok on the neighboring teeth, but she'll be without a tooth there for a couple years, since these aren't typically lost until closer to 6yr old. Thanks. Coaxing a 3yr old at the dentist was an interesting experience. Luckily, the dental asst & dentist were great with her. The Enemy's gate is down.
