TXJIMThis was posted by a trusted subject matter expert on another forum I visit:
The European model continues to show a very disturbing track for Harvey over the next couple of days. It basically has him heading south/southeast and back over the Gulf. Once in the Gulf, he straddles the Texas coast slowly strengthening into a tropical storm/cat 1 hurricane and coming ashore near Surfside. Once ashore he pushes his way north/northeastward over Houston and the into deep East Texas.
I believe the composite model posted above from NHC agrees with the European model. Uggggg.

Where in Spring?
I am at Louetta and Lexington and OK.

Jaywendland1981Cypresswood and Treaschwig. Lost power at about 1:44, back on 10 minutes ago. Kids got bored and we went out walking in the rain. Knee high for me in some places.
There will be whores, tits and sex.

DtechI have a number of family members in Texas in and around Houston. My Godmother, her husband, and my Great Aunt are trapped in their home because the water has risen so quickly overnight and throughout the day. Communicating with them and their daughter that lives in a Northern suburb that is not flooded via Facebook and other family members in Texas that can't get to them either. They live in the 610 loop area in Stella Link and are trying to call for rescue but can't get through on 911. Advised them to try 211 or 311, especially since my Great Aunt just turned 83 or the Coast Guard directly at some numbers they have been provided. They lost power a few hours ago and currently have 7+ inches of water in their home. Street and neighborhood completely flooded much much worse. Everyone in the family and friends really worried and praying for them. I feel helpless that I'm here in Florida and can't do anything for them.

charlie12People from my area around Baton Rouge are on the way or getting ready to go.
The Cajun Navy going to Texas to help rescue people like they did when we had our historic flood last August.
They save many people and help where ever needed.

tatortoddMy power went out in the middle of a really torrential downpour, and for a time it looked like our homemade construction site weir had failed and street was flooding. I was pretty bummed, but it spurred me to better stage my stuff (e.g. window ACs to power with generator sitting next to their designated window). Rain let up, street drained, and nothing flooded.
My power came back on after 1.5 to 2 hours of being out. However, just got Internet back about 5 minutes ago.

Hope your luck holds out. I know what you are going through. I still live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast which was the bulls eye for Hurricane Katrina. Stressful and difficult.

BTW, KHOU 11 has 2' of water in the building and they're evacuating. She is the lone reporter.
If you have FB, you can see the video of the rescue. Kudos to the reporter for spotting the man and getting him help.

15.96" of rain today alone in my neighborhood which brings my neighborhood's Harvey total to 24.1".
Forecast on local NBC (KPRC 2) from about 30 min ago is for an additional 25" of rain. That is unfortunately not a typo.
