I did a search on this and found nothing here. Everything about this light sounds great (to good to be true?). Everything about their advertisement screams rip off. Anyone have experience with one of these. Do they live up to the hype (advertised claims)? Thanks in advance for your help. While I don't have experience with that light, it looks like your standard shitty Chinese zoomy. A million companies sell these, and they are all basically the same. They are generally really terrible lights. Awful LED tint bins, most likely not actually a Cree LED, terrible user interface, general failure to live up to their marketing claims. For that price, I wouldn't buy it with your money. For roughly the same amount, you can get any number of quality lights. https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-B...a-681591541157&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/Flashli...gid=pla-567332164773 There are a couple of examples of the same light, at around $5 a piece. These exact lights are probably sold under a few hundred different brand names, all basically garbage. https://www.fenix-store.com/fe...t-ultimate-edt-2016/ https://www.fenix-store.com/fe...flashlight-2016-edt/ https://www.fenix-store.com/fe...hlight-2017-edition/ Those 3 are all slightly older lights, but will run circles around the light you posted for basically the same price. Plus, you are buying from a company and vendor that will support you if you have a problem with the light. If your budget is actually higher, you can spend more and get current lights that are even better than the ones I posted. "The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people." "Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy." "I did," said Ford, "it is." "So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?" "It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want." "You mean they actually vote for the lizards." "Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course." "But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?" "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in." | |||

Thank you very much for taking your time on this, Perception. You confirmed what I was thinking. The way these were advertised sent up Red Flags all over the place.
