redstoneI have already seen news organizations simply using X and not referencing twitter.
I did not answer the pole since I already reference it as X and not twitter.

Me too.

I keep hearing the news twinkies referring to it as "... X, formerly known as Twitter ...", or "... the social media platform formerly known as Twitter ..." . In a lot of the latter instances they don't even use the "X". I tend to still just refer to it at Twitter.

.38supersigIt only took twelve or so years for them to say 'global warming' without having to immediately follow it with 'you know, the greenhouse effect'.
Can no longer say my coworkers are
Twitter on the shitter when I can't find them.

Just switch it to 'Slidin' a Biden'.

mttaylor1066Although not known to be a tribe of bellwethers, New Yorkers still refer to the Met Life Building as the “Pan Am” Building… going on 30+ years now.
I don’t know when The Avenue of the Americas was named… but most New Yorkers still say “Sixth Avenue.”
So, maybe X will be known as Twitter for a good long time.

PASigI’m still trying to figure out what a post from “X” is supposed to be referred as? When it was Twitter, you made a “tweet” which made sense. Now do you make an X on X?

TVzombieI call it Twix, as I don't have an account either.

mikeyspizzaIt's over, at least at Fox.

redstoneMy wife made a comment about it and I asked, "you only feel that way because you accepted 'twitter' and 'tweet' early on."
Then I mentioned, Twitter was just as dumb if not more so, and 'tweeting' moronic. Anyway, I then explained how that platform and restrictions no longer exists, you can live stream, post videos, etc. And there is definitely no restriction on 160 characters. I am even thinking of paying the subscription model just to do away with ads and unlock the new stuff.
I find the new X to and 'messages' to be a lot of fun.
I then mentioned I would let Elon get to 2nd base and she got mad at me. . .

Call it an Xy (rhymes with sexy).
Call it a pirate's treasure because X marks the spot.
Could call it a spot, get it? Rearrange the letters in p o s t, gets spot.
How about calling it a Y? That's what a lot of people think when they read things on X and it's much shorter than "what a waste of bandwidth".
Call it a T to piss off Ford.
It's a brave new world.

That's good. It combines twitter and X.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

vinnybassI think it depends on the social acceptance of one or the other.
For instance, McCarran Airport will never be harryfuckinreid to me.

I encourage you to do so. I did. I regard it as an investment in free speech more than anything else.
But, be warned: There be hoops through which one is obliged to jump if they want the Coveted Blue Check-Mark.

heard it on the X?
