A great documentary on the Turbine Car. If you are in the Great Lakes area, you can see one in person at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners in Southwest Michigan as well as several in the Metro Detroit area. _________________________ An unarmed man can only flee from evil and evil is not overcome by fleeing from it. - Col Jeff Cooper NRA Life Member Long Live the Super Thirty-Eight

One of my HS classmate's father was one of those chosen to have and drive one for a time. The sound it made was unreal. Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club! USN (RET), COTEP #192

My friend’s father had a friend who was a Chrysler engineer back then. He was assigned one of the Turbine cars for awhile. Despite living in the Detroit area I don’t remember ever seeing one in the wild during those years. I have seen the Stahl Collection car though. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. Jay Leno showcased his Turbine Car several years ago. Not as in-depth as the documentary but still quite interesting: https://youtu.be/b2A5ijU3Ivs "I'm yet another resource-consuming kid in an overpopulated planet raised to an alarming extent by Hollywood and Madison Avenue, poised with my cynical and alienated peers to take over the world when you're old and weak!" - Calvin, "Calvin & Hobbes"

Thank you Very little |
One of my dads friends back then had something to do with the Turbine project, he worked for Mopar, drove a Hemi Challenger. Took us kids for a ride in the Hemi, used to go up a ramp to get off Circle 4, then accelerate hard as he could to get back in front of the traffic that he left getting off. Damn that car was fast.... I can still remember him hammering the hemi down the entrance ramp...
