I'm not familiar with this site, but a trusted friend sent to me. It's also listed on other news sites so appears legit. This sounds nasty, and the article is saying it could be connected to the 2 murders from a few years ago.

https://www.audacy.com/connect...ficking-drug-arrests

"This is what happens when there is no war, no direction, and an 18-month red cycle with no mission," a Special Forces soldier said. "So dudes are fucking around with young kids and the craziest drugs. All these lives ruined because people are just bored."

Roll Eyes Yeah boredom, That's it..

Previous article of 2 murdered Delta guys.

Curious if anyone out there is closer to this. Human Trafficking and minors? What the hell.

With the information of additional suspects in hand, CID and military police set up shop at one of the main bottlenecks to entering or exiting Fort Bragg: the Longstreet gate between the post and Southern Pines.

"It was a trail of tears and douche bag cars," said a Special Forces member who witnessed the scene late last week while each soldier stopped for questioning had their vehicle parked along the street.

Been through that gate a number of times, I can only imagine that scene.

In someways, I'm not surprised. Most teams are solid, good leadership; others have holes but the others make it work- the team is undermanned, there's an asshole E-8 wearing everyone down, etc. Then there's that team which just needs to get disbanded, poor leadership all-around, morale is in the toilet, maturity & social issues, everyone has their own agenda.... Sounds like such an issue with ODA 3135

Never understood how it's possible. I guess at that level drug tests don't matter. I know there's steroids at the least so if that goes anything goes. Reminds me of Ronnie Coleman being an Arlington Police Officer. Steroids are a felony. I guess no one noticed. Confused

For the record, I don't care if those guys take anabolics. They should if you ask me. But what's going on here is a different world, criminal element without performance enhancement. Debauchery. Whatever.

All bases have problems. Fort Hood to name one.Boredom has nothing to do with it. Sounds like sensationalistic headlines. They will get this straightened out. It is a command issue.

Didn’t something like this go through DevGru a number of years ago?

I was thinking that old seal story was just guys doing blow or whatever other drug. This is saying human trafficking and kids. Could be wrong though.

From my point of view, I don't care if a guy wants to do whatever drug he wants. That's between him and the Army or God.

The other thing going on here, different story. You mess with kids or control, force, or coerce them it's time for you to check out. Doesn't matter who you are.

When I was an MP in Germany it was a regular damned near every other weekly thing that we’d do the paperwork/case for a Ramstein AFB SP working the fight line doing synthetic Marijuana or shrooms. Back then the piss test didn’t test for the synthetic shit. That eventually got fixed. But it was a very regular occurrence. This kind of thing happens unfortunately, people are people and they do Shitty and stupid things. Doesn’t matter what you do for a living

There was murder, too.

Pretty sure there was a murder of a Marine raider too.

Yup...

It happens every few years or so in the SF type units. Happens with other "regular" units in other branches as well.

Anyone remember "Generation Kill", the HBO Mini-series?
SgtMaj Sixta is a piece of shit in real life.

We had a guy in our unit (Circa '90) in Thailand go AWOL for a few days, first thing they did was drug test him. Positive for Weed and Coke. He was honestly a good Marine when he was working and not allowed to his own devices. Excellent when working, absolute Dumpster Fire when he had more than a night off. Had a SSgt who's exploits with "underaged" girls that was just coming to a head right before we left for Iraq #1. Don't know what happened to that POS after that.

All of the above were in higher-speed Marine Corps Unit, and not a line infantry Bn. Units that were able to screen their members better.

As for the "Human Trafficking"- It's kind of a loose term, and for those that know the term "Barracks Rat"... well...

IIRC, That murder involved a Raider as well as a SEAL. Something about $ payed out to an "alleged" informant.

SOF units aren't immune to such problems. Plenty of guys were great operators but, once back home or, when their unit/troop/squadron was rotated out, they just couldn't cope. Domestic life was trash, more time spent at bar or, team room, than back home. Spending all the family's money on impulsive purchases. Command would identify and try to get them out of the situation by simply sending them back downrange, repeatedly.
SEALs were always susceptible given their younger age and a discipline structure that was more analogous to a fraternity council but, wasn't unusual to hear about White-side SF teams with 'issues' also.
