If you guys wouldn't mind please keep my brother's family in your prayers. I received a phone call this morning that his father in law was killed in a motorcycle accident last night. He leaves behind his wife, 4 children (all married), and at least 10 grandchildren with one more on the way.

Unfortunately I was just told he was hit as a result of a vehicle he was following passing a buggy and striking head on another vehicle which pushed it into his lane of travel. The collision ended up launching him into the nearby creek which is where they found him. It's hard not to feel anger over someone else's decision and negligence resulting in the death of another.

For my brother this is now the second family member we've lost due to a motorcycle accident as our uncle was killed 24 years ago in one as well.

Very sorry to hear. Accidents do happen. Motorcyclists are very exposed on the highway. Prayers sent for peace and comfort.

Curious if he was wearing a helmet?

My deep condolences and prayers for the family. As the participant in a severe motorcycle accident (as rider) back in 1989, I know how dangerous it is in traffic. I fortunately was put back into reasonable working order by the Orthopedist and I'm still walking on the repaired leg 33 years later.

Considering that the rider was knocked into a creek, I'm not sure that wearing a helmet would have made any difference (if he were).
