Bought a bag of Zapps Voodoo chips at the gas station today. AMAZING flavor. Wow. Like an orgasm in your mouth. Highly recommended, go buy a bag today if you can get them in your area. Good stuff. Likely the best potato chip I have ever had.

Crawtaters are the bestest.

Here's a true story on Zapp's:

I was with the family waiting to eat dinner down in Destin one summer, and just chatting with another family there. Someone walked by and was eating the remains of their Zapp's chips, and I commented that I was bitter that they weren't sold in my hometown area (at that time).

The guy I was talking with paused and smiled, and said "You really like that brand?" I replied in the affirmative, and explained that we always stock up when headed to Zapp's natural habitat (NOLA). He asks me for my address, and when I ask why, he says he's the president of the company, and that if I will let him have my address he'll ship me some, gratis. I was blown away, and figured he would forget the whole thing. Two weeks later a GIANT box arrives, and you guessed it, Zapp's chips out the wazoo. Hand written note saying he'd enjoyed our visit, and to enjoy the chips.

Great guy, great company. No idea if he's still the head honcho, but he was cool people.

Zapp’s is local to me but I think the company was sold. I fondly remember taking a field trip to the Zapp’s plant with my process engineering class when I was studying biological and agricultural engineering at LSU. I’m partial to the kettle cooked type of chips so I love Zapp’s, and voodoo is definitely my favorite flavor.
