That’s good stuff. They play that one on Studio 54 on XM a bit. I got on a “Boney M” YouTube rabbit hole the other day. Music was so much better back then.

Thanks for sharing.

Regards,

P.

Love the O'Jays. This is from Darryls House. I think Darryl Hall is one of the most arrogant pricks on the planet but I love his show from his house studio. Some great music.

A memory from my childhood was my grandfather, a WW2 vet, loved watching Soul Train. He’d be in his basement with Cheese Nips and jars of dry roasted peanuts, while smoking a pipe or cigar.

Now we're talking about good music. Love this era. How about this one.

Or maybe this one... Smile

Me too, I have fond memories of growing up in a small town with a place for us kids named Teen Town. Learned to love that music and dancing with the young ladies, it was a very safe environment.

Thanks Para.

Huge amounts of generally pretty original music, especially compared to today.

The worst part is, I grew up thinking that level of creativity was normal and was expected.

Good vibes! That’s a bunch of happy people, dancing and enjoying life. Man, I miss that.

Think I’ll watch again and remember once more.

We'd be cruisin' and Backstabbers would start playing on the radio. One person would start singing and by the end of the song everyone would be singing. A bunch of Idaho hicks singing along with the O'Jays must have looked funny as hell. Dang, that was a fun time for me.

Since we’re telling’ the truth…my buddies and me would get up and and try to duplicate the moves of the Temptations, 4 tops, Smokey & the Miracles (couldn’t imitate James Brown).

We were pretty good for white boys, we didn’t know what racism was. No one ever bothered us. We could take the laughs & smiles.

Para, if we can go beck, I want to go back another 10-12 years!! Those were magic years for me, and the music is still played at my house.
