lost my wife of 36 years to cancer almost 6 months ago and have recently been diagnosed with cancer myself. Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia or Mantle Cell Lymphoma they say. Start chemo next week and we will see what happens. Probably age related, but I'd rather blame Agent Orange. Either way it sure does suck. Glad I recently bought gun safes for my two sons and had them get their CCW licences. Got a lot of stuff to start transferring and thinking about a bit sooner than planned.

Really sorry to hear this. I can't even imagine life without my wife of 37 years. Horrible!! I battled cancer myself all of 2016 and it isn't fun for sure but it's doable. Just trust your doctors and try to keep a positive attitude. There will times when you will just want to give up. If and when that happens, come here for support. There are many good and experienced folks on this board. Jim ________________________ "If you can't be a good example, then you'll have to be a horrible warning" -Catherine Aird

I don't know what to say in threads like these. Cancer does suck. I found out today that a guy I like very much just found out he has stage 4 stomach cancer. This is after two years of battling mouth/tounge cancer, including radiation/chemo and removal of tissue. He will most likely not leave the hospital alive. My father is waiting VA approval to see a nuero surgeon, to address a "bundle of blood vessels" behind his eye that I believe is worse than he or my step mother are letting on. F cancer. Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard. -JALLEN "All I need is a WAR ON DRUGS reference and I got myself a police thread BINGO." -jljones

Cancer is terrible, as in your case, which is even more tragic. But be strong as best you can, hopefully there is some one to give you first person support, keep the faith! I had a rare lymph cancer in my neck in 2003. I was blessed to have beaten it, the treatments almost did what the cancer was going to do. I am not sure I could go through the same ordeal years later at my present age. But this ias about you, not me, please keep us posted, and don't be afraid to be here in uncertain times. We are here for you. 美しい犬

Prayers sent your way camper and deeply sorry to hear the news about your wife. Hardly a day goes by these days that the subject of cancer isn't brought up. Earlier this evening my sister and I were discussing cancer and how it is destroying so many lives. My sis and I are in our mid sixties and we've both lost many good friends to this horrendous disease. She was telling me of a good friend that we both grew up with has her husband diagnosed with stomach cancer and isn't doing so well with the battle. I've lost six of my closest friends to the disease in the last 10 years, and many here that are fighting the battle currently. It really gets to me. I pray nightly for those who are fighting it currently. Regards, Will G.
