"He was shot 45 times police, and taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead"
My first question whether he got down after being hit with the first shot or whether he was shooting and walking to the middle after getting shot several times was answered already.

My second question is this: in the full version, we see it from the car that ended up being the lead chase car. But he didn't start out that way. He worked himself up and at one time lost his position because of two cars who wouldn't move at the intersection. But even before that, they passed police cars waiting on the side of the road. And after he lost his position, he even went against the traffic on a left turn using a protected lane on the other side. Question: was his car special? Is he a special driver? In the beginning and especially after he got stuck in the intersection, why didn't somebody else kept and maintained the lead chase car position?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

It’s very possible that the shots that hit short still struck the BG. When bullets ricochet like that, they tend to travel close to the surface.

That man could drive.

Probably. It has been my experience that an EMT is not allowed to pronounce someone dead--it has to be a doctor. When the fellow choir member died in my car I was told the EMTs continued to perform CPR all the way to the hospital.

My same opinion. Possible some involuntary reaction but why take the chance?

From my days as a Registered EMT in New Mexico from 1982 to 1988 we were not authorized to pronounce anyone deceased in most instances and were required to start basic life support.

Once initiated, we could not cease until pronounced by a medical investigator or a doctor.

There were a couple of very defined situations that we were not required to instigate BLS. We still were required to wait at the incident site until either a Doctor or Office of Medical Investigator personnel pronounced before we could transport the deceased.

What a piss-poor job of damage control of something utterly unnecessary on their part, just stupid.

I will be spending mucho dollars on holsters in the very near future and I will not even consider Alien Gear for any purchases.

Companies, the world around, think that social media positions are worth $10/hr or less if they can get an intern to do it.

Suddenly they find out the position was probably worth more than they thought.

Those could have been some of the shotgun rounds that were fired.

as a medic I can make the presumption of death (legal term) but not pronouncement. We can with hold rescusitation efforts or discontinue once started if certain criteria are met. At that point deceased are turned over to the PD, they typically call medical examiner office and are usually given the ok to call a funeral home for removal if the medical examiner doesn't want to do an autopsy such as an untimely in a younger person. Years ago legislation outlawed transport of deceased bodies in ambulances...if the presumption was made.

This guy lying in the street well ventilated would have been presumed dead in my state and left as part of the crime scene.

So Alien Gear wades in to the shit over a 3 year old video - not real smart.
