Ladies Dive Watch
My sister has an 18 year old Citizen Titanium dive watch and although it still works, she's worried that it may fail and is looking for a backup. Anyone have some good recommendations or contact info for Dave?

- What size, small/ladies or mid-size?
- Automatic, quartz, or digital?
- Price range?
- True diver or a "diver style"?

If you're looking for a hard-use backup watch, then a Casio might be the ticket. There are some nice mid-size Seikos and Citizens that might work for ~$200. For about $200-300 more, you can get a nice Tissot or Hamilton. Of course you have the "tacticool" lineup from Luminox and the like.

The only dive watch I ever owned that didn't eventually leak was a Rolex.

Next best was a Seiko.

Lasted for many seasons of diving.

Today I would think a dive computer would be a much more useful tool than a watch.

Before dive computers you timed your bottom time and guesstimated your time left to dive.

If money is not an issue my wife likes and owns a Breitling Superocean II 36. It can be a little expensive but it is an automatic.

Will this watch be purposed towards actual diving?
If so, the Cressi Leonardo Wrist Computer is a great choice. It's available in multiple color straps that ladies like too.

Does she want this watch to wear when diving? If so does she use it as a timer or just wants to be able to wear her regular watch diving.

My old Sekio dive watch has taken a beating but I really don't wear it anymore as I don't wear a watch much these days.

On diving trips, I will often take smaller plain citizens watch(not a dive watch but is water proof). Just so I can tell time if I don't have my phone with me.

For diving, I've gone with dive computers for everything these days. Really a watch gets in the way. Either I have to pull my wetsuit/gloves over it or put on a larger strap to let it go around my exposure protection.

Then it can get in the way of my wrist computer or compass.

There are quite a few different versions of the 500m Tag Heuer Aquaracer if she likes the looks.

Citizen makes some of the best diving watches, the promaster series is where I'd recommend looking first...and SF members will receive a 30% off MSRP. Please let me know if I can be more of service

I have the 1000T Pro COSC, 1200T searambler, & 5000T sharkie COSC I like their watches

I got my wife the 200T Nymph years ago and she loves it. She doesn't SCUBA and the watch is secondary to a computer when it comes to diving for me.
