Wasn't there one recently of an oligarch friend of Putin complaining and accidentally fell from his hospital window?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." There was a mysterious 'stroke', as the headline put it. Oil big shot, I think?

Beg pardon, that was the editor-in-chief of Pravda.

Attack on Putin's limo

Putin's limousine is 'hit by loud bang' in possible 'attack'
Vladimir Putin's car was 'attacked' in what may have been an assassination attempt amid the Ukraine war, according to an unconfirmed claim.

His limousine was hit by a 'loud bang' on its 'left front wheel followed by heavy smoke', it is alleged.

The car drove to safety with Putin unharmed but there have been multiple arrests from his security service - while other bodyguards have vanished - amid claims that secret information about the 69-year-old ruler's movements was compromised, says General SVR Telegram channel.

General SVR is a Russian Telegram channel which regularly posts alleged insider information about Putin and the Kremlin.

While some are sceptical of General SVR, others say it is one of the few prominent anti-Putin channels in Russia that provides an insight into the true goings-on at the Kremlin.

What’s the line? If you’re going to come at the king, you’d better not miss? Looks like their goal just got more difficult.

Or Ukraine has decided to try fighting Putin, instead of Russia.

Not sure how Putin’s death would be viewed. Can’t see Russians going any crazier - they’re culturally conditioned to assassination among the autocrat class.

Or Putin's trying to quash dissent while appearing sympathetic to Russians - "they tried to kill him!". Puto has a lot of things he needs to distract Russians from paying attention to.

There have been quite a few accidents and suicides since the invasion:

Ravil Maganov - The 67-year-old chairman of Lukoil, died on Thursday after falling from a hospital window in Moscow, two sources familiar with the situation told Reuters.

Leonid Shulman - Head of the transport service at Gazprom Invest, which handles investment projects for gas giant Gazprom. His body was found on Jan. 30 in the bathroom of a cottage – believed to be suicide.

Alexander Tyulakov – A 61-year old executive at Gazprom, was found dead in the garage of his St Petersburg home on Feb. 25. Believed to be suicide

Vladislav Avayev – A 51-year-old ex-vice president at Gazprombank, was found dead in a Moscow apartment along with the bodies of his wife and daughter on April 18. Investigators say they believed Avayev, a well-known banker, had shot both of them before committing suicide.

Sergei Protosenya - On April 19, Sergei Protosenya, a 55-year-old former top manager of Russia’s largest liquefied natural gas producer Novatek, was found dead with his wife and daughter at a villa in Spain. Catalan regional police, investigating the case, have said they believe he killed them and then took his own life.

Vladimir Lyakishev - A 45 year-old former co-owner of the Bratya Karavayevi restaurant chain, was found dead on the 16th floor balcony of the building where he lived, Russia’s RBC media group reported. A source told RBC that Lyakishev was found with a gunshot wound to his head on May 4.

Yury Voronov - CEO and founder of Astra-Shipping, a company which worked on Arctic contracts for Gazprom, was found dead in a swimming pool at a cottage complex in Leningrad Region, RBC wrote in July. He was found with a gunshot wound to his head, while a pistol was found nearby, RBC said.
