Help my friend just reintroduced me to olights and I have spent more than I should have. If your not opposed to Chinese made take a look. They even drug me into the Facebook group and I have never seen a large company with this kinda of customer treatment. Anyway may need to sleep on a couch if my wife ever asks how much I spent. As far as flashlights are concerned everything is ccp except for Surefire, some maglight. Not sure about Streamlight. I am pretty sure. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Don't know about "supposed to be," but I'm certainly trying. It's difficult, though. E.g.: I just the other day bought a G-Sight laser training cartridge. Curious: I just checked into it. U.S. company, by all accounts a quality product, but the product is made in China. "America is at that awkward stage. Make America Great Again |
^^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^ While I would prefer to never buy anything made in China again, it is next to impossible to not do so, especially depending on the product category! Even with American companies, they farm out the manufacturing of their products to CCP, or at least source most of the internal components from there. I do my best, but my best just isn't good enough anymore... _____________________________ Bill R. North Alabama

That’s why I put it out there because I know some people care. If you don’t care and are looking for a nice feeling flashlight with mostly 5 year warranty then check them out. I’ll be your Huckleberry SP2022, G27, 870P

It is exceedingly difficult to find things that are not at least partially made in China. I was a bit surprised and disappointed when I opened up one of my Seiko automatic watches that has “made in Japan” printed on the dial only to discover the inside of the caseback was stamped “made in China”. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Edit: Surefire lights are made with global components. Not necessarily China made, but certainly not all USA made lights.

Congratulations on your new hobby. Olight has some nice gear. FYI, it is possible to get lights which are made in the USA. You just have to spend some time researching and expect to spend a little more. For example, one of my all time favorite pocket lights is the Peak Eiger Ultra in stainless steel. If you order it with the 'key chain' body option and then order the optional 'momentary tail switch', you'll have an excellent pocket light powered by a single AAA battery which will outperform many lights of much greater size. The momentary switch essentially give you the ability to vary the light output of the light based on how hard you depress the switch. You can achieve the same result without the momentary switch but it's not as convenient as it requires twisting the head of the light to vary the output. It accepts all types of AAA battery chemistries but excels when used with a good rechargeable 10400 lithium ion battery. It's made in the USA.

I've got three or four Olights. I decided I don't like their proprietary batteries and charging methods. I bought on for pocket carry, the olight M2R Pro Warrior and it's too big for pocket carry. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." If you hang out at all w/ the tacticool wannabe operator crowd, you better keep your Olight habit in the closet. If they catch you using Olight, they will shame you to no end for using a self-destructing, exploding flashlight.

I bought olight products a few years ago after hearing glowing reviews. Absolute junk. Won't ever buy it again.

Triggers don't pull themselves |
I have a few O-lights and have been pleased with them for the features they offer at their price-points. Surefire lights are my go-to on critical platforms such as nightstand gun, etc. That said, we’re all participating in this discussion using devices made by companies whose policies and location(s) of manufacture that I’m sure we don’t agree with.
