I paid $11.99 for a 12 volt air compressor , back in the 1900's, at an Army Navy store in So. Cal.
I ran across it in a pile "O' stuff in the basement and threw it in the trunk,7 years ago.
The tires on my hand truck needed inflating , so I stopped at the Casey's stop and rob for some free air.
NOT!
They charge for air now. $1.45 . . . . . For ! Air !
So tried the cheap looking non- digital, non- wi- fi, Non blue tooth, no pressure gauge , flimsy power cord, bargin bin pumper upper.
And it worked like new! Up to 35 pounds anyway.
Great way to start the new year. This message has been edited. Last edited by: bendable,

I keep one of those small compressors hanging on the garage wall. Right above my large compressor.

I've got an AirMoto compressor in my glovebox. It's not fast, but has no problem inflating a car tire to 40psi.
Bendable, you’re the old technology that got the job done

That was back when they still made things to last.

Bendable go to a gas station that has separate pumps for trucks. A lot of times the air is free back there while people are putting debit cards into the pay compressor out front.

ETA – it was delivered just now. About twelve hours since I ordered it.
I really like it, had a slow leak in 1 tire & it got me by [filling 2x/day] until I could get it patched. Going from 19 to 40psi took maybe 1/3 of the battery on a 16" car tire.
