Remember what party was in power when you see six bucks per gallon gas, home heating and electricity rates skyrocketing, food shortages, prescription medicine shortages (110 meds critical shortage per the FDA yesterday), shortages of infant formula and on and on.

Even if Dobbs were about religion (it’s EVIDENTLY about state rights), the “right” to kill babies is a very weird and perverted issue to make one change sides.
Conservatives don’t need baby killers and their apologists. To the hell with them.
Not that anyone asked, but the opposition to abortion has ZERO to do with religion, and everything to do with being a decent human being. Even when I was an agnostic, abortion made me puke.
I guess my reading comprehension skills aren't what they used to be, and maybe never were.
When I initially read his post, I was somewhat confused by the logic he used to explain his actions and a few assumptions he seemed to be making about the overall membership.
I don't think he's correct that there is universal agreement about all aspects of the subject that set him off. There are the regulars that post a lot but there are many that don't, and some that don't for years. There are a variety of opinions and variations within them. Since religion and the abortion debate is such a passionate subject to many, the rest of us mostly just stand back and listen, maybe some don't even participate at all. I think he made an assumption that was wrong.
What I missed on my first reading was that he didn't say he was going to the dark side, the Democrats and liberals. That was just an assumption I made and more likely incorrect if I factor in all that time and posts he's made here. What seems more logical to me is that he's talking more about going in the Libertarian direction.
Only way I would leave SigForum is if this became an anti gun group. Beyond that, I can tolerate people’s opinions whether I agree or not. To each their own. Wish you well.

Look at the wave of destruction that Biden and his cronies has unleashed on the USA. Disaster and death with his incompetent Afghanistan withdrawal, playing footsie with Iran, the skyrocketing gas prices, the inflation, the billions in lost value in IRAs, the soaring interest rates that will raise the national debt, just to name a few. I don’t appose abortion because of religion. I appose killing babies because it’s abhorrent. Your extreme hatred of religion is a religion itself, and you follow it blindly and without question. Going to work for leftists after supposedly supporting conservatives for your entire life is a perfect example of you following your religion.
But since your focus is solely on religion, Jesus spoke about you. He knew you were coming. He also told me to forgive you and love you. You hate me for my religion, but because of my religion I’m going to pray for the strength to love you.
