I'm pretty lucky to be going on a small ship out of Boston today. No flights, easy trip. About 3 months ago the wife was out with the girls planning their "girl's weekend". Well they decided to make it a weeklong cruise instead. Then my wife said she didn't want to go a week without me. So...they all decided to take the husbands. Wife comes home, tells me, calls the cruise, gets a group rate and books. I told her she was jumping the gun. The other women will be backing out. Sure enough, they all backed out but one couple that are good friends decided to join us. So off we go. Not the biggest of most luxurious ship. But it sits in Bermuda for 3 days so I like that. We also stop in Bar Harbor on the way back. No idea why I'm telling you all this. But it's 5:30 am, I'm caffeinated and bored. These go to eleven.

Bermuda is my favorite island so far. Well, the big island was pretty spectacular! We were there only for a day, so, lots more to explore. Need to go back. Enjoy! Don’t forget, fish and chips and big beers! P226 9mm CT Springfield custom 1911 hardball Glock 21 Les Baer Special Tactical AR-15

What's a 'small' ship... only cruise my wife and I took was 150 people but that was a Mississippi River boat trip.... As for imploding on a cruise .... yes, I guess if you get served Montezuma's revenge along with all the other passengers you might think you were imploding..... Norwegian Pearl. I don't know the size but compared to the mega ships it's small. These go to eleven.

From what I am told, Bermuda is largely at sea level. Thus, I don't think that the ship will need to submerge much to get you there, and so, therefore, the chances of implosion are fairly low. Non-zero, but fairly low. God luck. God is you co-pilot, and I'll be praying for you. Oh, and she's not all that small. 965' long, 93,500 gross tons. Risk of implosion remains low. frayedends……be sure to give us a full post-cruise debrief. Or maybe even daily debriefs if you have time… "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. I guess the ship I toured Alaska in, the Baranof Dream, would be considered "small". It had rooms for 49 passengers. I will say that passage on it was very nice, though--good meals, nice port calls, and decent rooms (small, but adequate). https://adventuresmithexplorat...ships/baranof-dream/ Have a good time! flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

About 2300 passengers if fully full. So not a small ship. But not mega. Very typical. The "behind the scenes" ship tours are my favorite onboard activity. If you think you might like to do it, definitely do it. There will be a fee but for me well worth it. I stood on the plexiglass viewport on the wing bridge on our Alaska cruise, but luckily it did not implode.

At least it's not a Carnival boat . I hear more bad stories than good about them .

Oh crap! Did you guys hear that sound too just now? Just kidding. Hope you have a great time. Remembering back to when you and your future bride had just started dating and the ribbing you took then, I’m glad you still have your kidneys.

Carnival is ok. It’s a step below the others. I didn’t dislike my last Carnival Cruise a couple months ago. Compared to others though everything is just a bit.. less. Less good, less service, less expensive.

I did one Carnival cruise and there won't be another. It was a "party ship" and I had the misfortune to have a cabin just above the party zone. I don't "party"--not at all. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Check the bottom of the hull when you first board. If you see carbon fiber and the crew refers to passengers as mission specialists or partners, get off!
