How do I rename a URL or HTTP address & copy to Sigforum?

How do I rename a URL or HTTP address & copy to Sigforum?

This older non-literate computer guy can rename a link in word, but when I copy it to a sigforum discussion the long original name returns.

Any help would be appreciated.
