Has anyone learned where the drones came from? After the initial report it as from th3 rebels I saw something about the drones flying from Iran. Given the assists in the region wouldn’t it be a good bet that the drones were tracked or at least have an indication of their flight path? “ The work of destruction is quick, easy and exhilarating; the work of creation is slow, laborious and dull.

There were reports today that both the drones and cruise missles came from Iran. They did not come from the area the rebels are from. https://www.breitbart.com/nati...in-oil-field-attack/

I’m sure it’s fear mongering but I’m seeing posts on trucking groups of trucking companies and fuel card companies saying fuel will spike .20 at midnight. Probably some truth to it but how much remains to be seen. God, Guns, and Guts made this country....let's keep all three

Do we even care if Iran attacked the oil infrastructure themselves or if they handed the weapons to the Houthi and said press this red button at 10:00AM? I don't understand the significance of whether Iran launched the attack from Yemen or Iran. Either way we know who is behind the attack. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

This action between Iran and the Saudis is so similar to the chess games I played in college. When one has the opponent on the ropes, the beaten player goes to wild gambits hoping you will fall for some action and finally give him a fighting chance. The steady and calculated response will generally win the game. Iran is in terrible economic shape due to Western & US economic sanctions. Couple that with a restive younger population and you have today’s wild gambit to provoke a shooting ground war thus rallying the citizens because the bogyman (Saudis) is at the door coming to rape and kill your family. Likely the best plan is not to develop a general war, but target the leadership only. Air attack by the Saudis toward the leadership only and let the economic hardships to continue to create internal revolution. Grind them down. Oh well…. Glad I am not in charge of foreign policy….. Couldn't the Saudi's and their allies pump so much cheap oil into the market that it effectively kills Iran's economy. Think about how Wal-Mart came in and undercut the mom & pop shops. Same could be done... ___________________________ No thanks, I've already got a penguin.

Yeah, but Wal-Mart is not fucking with Russia's oil revenue. Russia, the Gulf states and a few others would be impact more than Iran. Pissing all of those folks off, just to get to one, whom can be smacked upside the head in other ways, is not the best strategy. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-49777672 The US has announced plans to send forces to Saudi Arabia in the wake of attacks against the country's oil infrastructure. Secretary of Defence Mark Esper told reporters the deployment would be "defensive in nature". Total troop numbers have not yet been decided. Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels have said they were behind the attacks against two oil facilities last week. But the US and Saudi Arabia have both blamed Iran itself. What are Trump's options on Iran? Why would Iran raise the stakes by attacking Saudi? BBC reporter tours damaged Saudi oil facility On Friday, President Trump announced new sanctions against Iran while signalling he wanted to avoid military conflict. The fresh sanctions, which Mr Trump described as "highest level", will focus on Iran's central bank and its sovereign wealth fund. "I think the strong person approach, and the thing that does show strength, would be showing a little bit of restraint," he told reporters in the Oval Office. But on Saturday, the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) struck a different tone and said the country would seek to "destroy" any aggressor. "Be careful," Maj-Gen Hossein Salami said on state television. "We are after punishment and we will continue until the full destruction of any aggressor." What did the Pentagon say? Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates had requested assistance, Mr Esper said. He said the US forces would focus on boosting air and missile defences and would "accelerate the delivery of military equipment" to both nations. Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen Joseph Dunford called the deployment "moderate" and said it would not number in the thousands. He gave no further details about the type of forces that would be sent. According to The New York Times, when reporters asked Mr Esper if military strikes on Iran were still being considered, the defence secretary responded: "That's not where we are right now."

Looks like microwave tech is taking to the field to counter drones and such for real world testing. I'm thinking probably near Iran. +++LINK+++ A high-tech anti-drone weapon has been cleared for use by the US Air Force overseas for the first time. ![]() The PHASER weapon system can knock swarms of drones out of the sky using pulses of energy. On Monday, the Pentagon told Congress it had purchased a microwave weapon system for a "field assessment for purposes of experimentation". The location for the secret test is unknown but is confirmed to be outside of the US. Military chiefs expect to complete the test by December 20, 2020, making the overseas deployment "against real-world or simulated hostile vignettes" imminent. The tests should take around one year to complete, and represent the first use of a directed energy defence weapon in the field. US Air Force bosses spent $16.28m (£13.03) for one prototype PHASER weapon. The threat of enemy drones has soared in recent years, and the US Air Force is looking to test their effectiveness in the field on the frontlines of areas of tension, including North Korea, Africa, Ukraine and the Middle East. Michael Jirjis, lead on the PHASER tests, told US media: "At the moment we have awarded multiple DE systems for use in our field assessment overseas and are working to support multiple bases and areas of responsibility. "We can't say which specific locations at this time."
