Quick Shout Out to CountyComm
Greetings all,

Just a quick thumbs-up to Mike and CountyComm. Awhile back I picked up one of their SR=9015L's second hand in a 'lightly used' condition. So I wound up sending it in to Mike, and for a very nominal fee, the gang at CountyComm treated me right, and got the watch back to me in very short order. Solid CS no doubt.

BTW - Fun fact - if you have one of the SR9015L's, they only put out 100 of them to the civilian market.

Despite some people's claims to the contrary, 5 lbs. is actually different than 12 lbs.

I've happily given County Comm plenty of money over the years.

I do have one of these watches. I picked it up when they must have been blowing them out. I got the bracelet and sapphire case back included and I believe I paid $289 for it. I felt like I stole it.

The bracelet on this watch is perhaps one of the nicest of all the embarrassingly large number of watches I have (mostly microbrands, Seiko). Machining and finishing is just awesome.

I'm also partial to the Miyota 9015 movement. I actually prefer it to the ETA 2824 and clones. I've had a couple of 2824s break on me, but never a 9015 or any of its variants.

Yes, it's frikkin huge. The sterile dial is...purposeful. Think of wearing this watch as doing people a favor being able to tell time - from across the room.

I'm more partial to their aviator but yes they make some great products and I enjoy their timepieces. I have requested they look into making a specific design and Mike said he'd look into it. Heres to hoping.

Awesome company. I’ve spent a stupid amount of money with them. I’ve got their large pilot watch and still enjoy it. Took a hard look at the one you got but I’m completely content with a recent Marathon Jumbo Day Date (the Marathon SAR family also has history with Countycomm).

I probably put in an order once or twice a month. Every nato/Zulu/military style watch strap I have is from them.

They still owe me $35 or so for a titanium peanut lighter I had to send back a while back. I’m not happy about the complete failure to take care of that despite several emails saying it would be done, but I’m not pissed enough to let that outweigh years worth of positive purchases with quick shipping. I’ve written the $35 off and moved on. Made two or three orders since then.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

I hate CountyComm. It’s the Costco of the Internet. I need one titanium tweezer set and I walk out with a shopping cart full of stuff. lol

I had a few for a summer fun watches in years past. A lot of pleasure for the money. I mean, it's obviously yet another chinese watch, but I liked the design, the build was good enough. I gave a quartz one to my sin. The minute hand fell off. But I had it repaired (just a few bucks, no biggie). He may have wacked the heck out of it and caused the issue. Who knows. It's been flawless ever since.

I have a couple GPT-1 diver watches from them. I’ve only worn one, good enough for me, the fanciest watch I’ve had other than a Blue Angel Eco-drive I beat to crap in the Navy.

CountyComm always has a few gems, great spot to check out for gift-giving.

I've been meaning to ask about their watches, encouraging to know there's members who are sold on them.

Like most sites, I've found a few things to acquire at CountyComm...Had one problem with a small order that they provided good communication and resolution for.

I generally like the site, just like others..buy what you like and pass on what you don't need or care for. No site is perfect (well, expect maybe this one..LOL).

Okay, I accept your apology.

And, just to show you that I have no hard feelings towards you or County Comm, I'm gonna delete my prior posts.

Hope that squares us.
