Who likes garlic scapes?
I was out running errands this morning and stopped at a roadside stand for some garlic scapes. I bought a large paper grocery bag of them for 2 bucks. I like supporting small farmers and I love scapes. Will be having them in our chicken veggie stir fry tonight. I also love them pickled. Do you all like scapes and if so what are your favorite recipes for them?

Sign me up. I use them in all kinds of things...pretty much anything that calls for garlic or chives or green onions.

I have 100 garlic plants out in the garden and they just started putting up scapes the other day. I'll have a bunch of them soon.

That said if I could find some I'd definitely try 'em. Big Grin

I collected them from our plants last year, and sauteed them in butter with some salt and pepper for a side dish.

We weren't super impressed. Ok taste, but kind of stringy.

Probably won't bother again.
