It might be LDPE foam it seems to be made out of the same material that pool noodles are. Use it at work to kneel down on or crawl on a vehicle. It’s great stuff. Does anybody know where I can buy sheets for this stuff at a reasonable price? I’m having a hard time finding it except for places like U-Line. I’d love Something other than black. White is OK but I’d love a lighter color so I can see if they fall onto the mat.

I bough a kneeling pad from U-Line several years ago. Yeah, it’s black. What’s the stuff that you want to see falling on a kneeling pad?

Serious about crackers.

I believe Lowe's carries what you're talking about. I think they carry it in 3/4", 1", and 2"

I will take a look and let you know thanks.
Pipe smoker, I want a sheet larger than just a kneeling pad, one I can lay down on. I thought it would be nice to have it in bright yellow, easy to spot in the garage when I need it, but not so dark that you can’t see a nut or bolt laying on it if you drop something while laying down under the car. Color is definitely not a dealbreaker though. Crawling under cars was a whole lot easier when I was a younger man.

I've raided packaging dumpsters for stuff like this at work and scored a couple of these I use when crawling under vehicles. For places where you are not employed, at your own risk. Wink

I use a Magic Creeper but didn’t pay that much for it. Got it on the Zon. Really handy but DON’T step on it!

How about an extra thick yoga mat? What I use. Not in yellow, but several lighter colors. (It is VERY comfortable.)

I get several corrugated refrigerator boxes from the appliance store and cut the sides out to lay on. Easy to slide on and off of, catch the inevitable spills of oil, and 2 or 3 layers provide some level of cushion. Plus they’re free/disposable.

I have two polyethylene yoga(?) mats someone gave me. But they are ridged, not something you could roll up like the one above. Can't tell you the source, but I use them for auto work. They're not fond of welding splatter though.

I buy closed cell foam from McMaster for different applications. They have a lot of varieties to pick from:

Buy a cheap foam mattress topper and cut it to size. King size will give you two or three.

Any appliance store will probably have tons of corrugated cardboard they need to dispose of . Lowe's and Home Depot pay to get rid of theirs .
