Bookers Bourbon and a good cigar |
Banned in Arkansas, @ 28.0% ABV. Aged in barrels. My son found some in DC area. $240 for a 24oz bottle. Have you tried it. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. Out of my price range! At today's prices (in some spots), that's equivalent to 200 rounds of CCI Blazer 9mm I can't get. Sounds interesting though, will look for it behind a glass case with an alarm.

I'd rather drink Single Cask Wyoming Whiskey.

Would I buy an expensive taste for novelty sake as a beer nerd, sure. But a bottle at over $200? No way, as mentioned above it probably doesn’t taste very good. “People have to really suffer before they can risk doing what they love.” –Chuck Palahnuik Be harder to kill: https://preparefit.ck.page

Their triple Bach was enough for me. I like beer tasting beer, not something so sweet and strong it thinks it's port wine. I can't imagine what the Utopia 'beer' would taste like, but for that kind of money I'll take an 18 year old scotch. _____________________________ 'I'm pretty fly for a white guy'.

I bought a bottle in 2008 I think it was. If you’re a craft beer freak it’s something you really ought to try if you can swing the price. It’s incredibly unique and very good. Would I do it again? Only if I came into a lot of money. Do I regret buying a bottle once? Not at all.

Not for me, I'll just piss it out anyway.

Find some friends that want to try it and do a bottle tasting, or find a bar that serves it. Many bars sell it in one shot servings. That's probably gonna cost you 20 something bucks, but it's cheaper than buying a bottle. It drinks more like a liquor than a beer anyway. I think it would be neat to have a bottle put up on a shelf, but as a "beer" it's a novelty. "The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people." "Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy." "I did," said Ford, "it is." "So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?" "It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want." "You mean they actually vote for the lizards." "Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course." "But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?" "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

10mm. It's like two 40s with every shot. |
It may say beer, but it is more like a bourbon or whiskey. You serve it warm and in small pours. I can't remember what I paid for a bottle my local store. They had so many bottles and held a drawing where you had to be present to win. They had 14 bottles I believe. I was the second name they drew after the first was a no-show. I still have it and have enjoyed drinking it in small doses. The bottle is also extremely cool. If you have the chance and have never had it you should pick it up. Invite your bourbon drinking friends over and enjoy. It's worth having at least once.

Can’t see paying $10 a ounce for beer. That is not on my bucket list. Great Lakes is my go to beer.

As much as I enjoy craft beer, I don't think I could splurge on a bottle either. And it's also illegal in my state of SC.

Well, I have finally reached the stage in life that I can afford to indulge my cravings even if the price is a tad too much. However, I "growed up pore" and during those years of weighing wants vs. needs, I learned a valuable financial weighing scalefrom my daddy: "Ain't no sense in it, even if ya can lay hands on the money". I have consistently applied his scale over the years and, in four areas, it has helped my cash flow: High-priced women High-priced cars High-priced ammo High-priced booze (well, maybe over the years, I have cut myself a little slack in the first category , but the high-priced beer? It definitely fails the "ain't no sense in it" financial test!)

I'd like to try it, but I would try a small pour rather than spring for a whole bottle. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Same here. Just because I have the money, and can spend the money, doesn't mean I would spend the money. "We're all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house. Birth 'til death. We travel between the eternities."

A few 8% IPA’s is usually enough for me. It does seem interesting, kinda pricy though. Can’t imagine the taste is all that great, for a beer.

Don't Panic |
Illegal here, must be good. That said, I could get some killer stuff for $240 the bottle. Whiskey/Whisky, Vintage Port, cellar-able Sauternes, etc.

I swear I had something for this |
I've seen it online described as barley wine. I'd love to try a sample, but at that price, I'm looking at scotch or some Pappy.
