Breakfast Sausage Blues
Both of us love Jimmy Dean sausage links and have been buying them in the bag. Have not bought a bag in the last couple months though. Here is what we buy and they heat up like a champ in the microwave.

Mr. Peteroniman
get you some Conecuh (ca-neck-a) sausage ordered in, it's a smaller place in Alabama and them boys know how to make sausage

it's good for breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight snack, etc...

If you can find these Smithfield sausage patties in your area give them a try.

What I love most besides the taste is the size. They are the perfect size for an English Muffin. Most other brands leave at least half the muffin open.

Tried the Aldi... Pretty good! Might not be the best I've ever had, but it's the best I've had in a good while.

I like the form factor as well. Thinner but big around.

+1

In 2013, WH Group, formerly known as Shuanghui International Holding Limited, one of China’s largest meat producers, purchased Smithfield outright for $4.7 billion. They're the 3rd largest pork producer in world and some of their brands are #1 in their markets:

Dang it, I didn't know Nathans was part of it. I hadn't had any dogs in a couple of years but when I do it won't be Nathans

The easiest recommended sausage to try was Jimmy Dean All Natural, sold at Costco. My wife picked up a roll, I cut it into slices and have tried it a couple times now. It’s noticeably better than the links and patties I soured on from Jimmy Dean. This is a lot more trouble. Cutting it, wrapping it individually or in twos to thaw, then cook in a pan. Oh well, it’s edible.
