'Slams' is good. 'Indicts' would be better.

c1steveI have always wondered how anyone could believe F&F could possibly work. No one is that stupid, and I mean no one. So perhaps it was all part of Obama's and Holder's plan to take down the American people by any means necessary.

The plan was to track the guns when they were recovered at crime scenes in Mexico. No kidding. The dead Mexicans were just collateral damage. In the end the BATFE tracked a few hundred guns found at the site of murders and other crimes in Mexico, but only did so after F&F was exposed.
The entire operational plan was never intended to break up cartels or smuggling, it was to create a the grounds to create a new assault weapons ban that really banned them and to undermine our Rights.

I know that sounds conspiratorial, and I certainly have nothing more than my own speculation.
Well...yours and several million other gun owners, the NRA, SAF, GOA, gun bloggers, gun writers, some politicians, and a bunch of cops.
I think even the partridges in the pear tree agree that it was nothing but a political move against gun rights.
