Bayouman,

I own several P365s and it is my usual carry pistol. I don't have near the rounds through it that many others have but it has been reliable, more accurate than I am capable of, and easily carried. There is a massive amount of information floating around which is uniformly positive.

I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up if it fits you and your needs.

I've had a Sig P226 40 S&W for many years and love it. Six months ago I bought a P365 and it's become my new favorite pistol. So much so, I bought another one.
Congrats on your purchase.

P365 is like by probably 99% of those who own them. I happen to fall into the 1% minority.

I'm with you there -- love a P229 -- but ...

... I'm a skinny fella (mostly) and it's hard for me to hide a P229. P365 is the winner for me most days on account of that.

This has made me curious about those Glock guns. Does anyone here know anything about them?

Pfft. Those newfangled Ee-yu-ro-pean plastic guns will never catch on.

Get you all-American steel .45, son.

If it was good enough for pappy in Dubya Dubya Two, then by god it's good enough for you.

(The guy who makes them Glocks is probably a Communist anyway. Or a Nazi. Or a Communazi.)

You registered here 22 years ago. That predates the software the forum has been running for the last 20 years.

This means you've had two full decades to understand how to use the search function, and to stumble by accident upon the Pistols section. As I pointed out, there are scores of threads on the P365, and you've been here longer than most members, and you're asking us WTF is wrong with us?

He's getting the hang of it. Cut him some slack, man! HAHAH I don't know why but that exchange was the funniest thing I've seen in many days.

I'm with you there. I don't have a functional P229 (yet), but in the same general size, I far prefer my P228 and P245, to the P365.

When did the search function get fixed???

The Search Function has always worked just fine as far as I'm aware. As long as you click on 'Advanced Search' where you get to enter specific details for the search criteria, it will yield excellent results, and can even find specific posts quite easily! There you can even search within a specific date range, and/or by a specific author to find EXACTLY what you're looking for. It's actually an excellent tool when people DON'T use the search function and you've already posted an excellent response to the EXACT SAME QUESTION previously! Rather than reinventing the wheel, I have often searched for that specific post to either repost it, or use it as the basis for a new post. Further, it will yield a link to the relevant thread that should have been search for by the OP in the first place! It can be quite the time saver when the question required a somewhat detailed response, possibly with links, or your post was just plain brilliant and needed to be seen again! Wink

Merely clicking on 'Find', entering a keyword in the drop-down dialogue box and clicking 'GO' generally returns a seemingly unorganized list (possibly sorted by relevance though it's hard to understand how) making it difficult to find what you're looking for.

I always use the Advanced Search and click 'Order By Date', and it has NEVER let me down!

You can also utilize outside search engines to search the forum. Many will allow you to limit results for specific keywords to just one site.

For example, on most search engines, a search for:

site:sigforum.com "RogueJSK" "M1 Garand"

will only return results from Sigforum of threads where I posted and the text of the thread contains the phrase M1 Garand at least once.

I have several; the P365 is an excellent EDC pistol for my needs.
- Replaced a LCR for me, similar weight/profile but more ammunition.
- Replaced a LCP, better sights and caliber.
- With the 12 round grip, also replaced a Taurus G2/G3C.

Almost too big for pocket carry, so I like the XL slide on the original 10 round frame; this is much like Kahr’s “covert” series. 10 round gets a low profile, can use 12 or 15 round with the sleeve. All around a great package.

The XL slide on the Macro frame replaced my Glock 19 and has a 507k and TRL7A light.

All in all, a handy and reliable pistol.
