19, I think. It was in 1977, but I can't recall what month, so could have been 18.

18 and two weeks.

Couldn’t wait to get out. I spent a month or so back home while purchasing my first home at 21 and it just reaffirmed why I left.

Nine years to retirement! Just waiting!

I moved out for a few months when I was 19 or so. Then moved back in with my parents and went to a junior college for 1.5 years while living at home. Moved to CO from NJ when I was 21.

My parents were, and still are great. They never demanded rent or any payment. I think my sister stayed home until she was 28 and bought her house.

18. And my birthday present from my parents when I turned 18 was a suitcase. I didn't think it was funny then but I do now. Classic.

Technically 18, for college, but moved in with an aunt. Free lodging won out over dorm/apt prices.

Moved back home at 20, then out on my own for real at 21.

I was home every summer during college so that didn't count.

The first time I was out on my own was 23.

18 and moved into my first apartment.

Worked my ass off full time and college full time.

Came to the conclusion after one year I needed to commit to one or the other.

So college won based on my job just covering my bills.

Cheers~
