IntrepidTravelerToyota Salesperon or Dealership - N metro Dallas
We are getting ready to buy a new RAV4 for my wife. This is replacing one we just sold to her daughter. She loves the RAV4 so there’s no discussion on anything else. I’m looking for a recommendation for a dealer and sales person in the north metro Dallas area - Lewisville, Plano, Grapevine, Denton, etc.
Does anyone “know a guy”?
Thanks!

HRKLet me check with my Son in Law, he works for Car Edge a buying service, they do everything for you from finding the car to negotiating the price and financing if you need.
Anthony is retired Navy, and spent 20+ years selling cars in dealers from KIA to Subaru, and decided to get out of the in dealer selling and move to this service and is doing well.
All you do is decide what you want and they do all the leg work.
They do charge an upfront fee, its $999, but no commissions, mainly to get rid of the tire kickers. Yes you'll get the "you can do it yourself at no cost" replies but, a lot of people just don't want to spend the time and effort to go through this and he knows the whole game., No tricks no holding DL's, sitting in finance office, being sold the tire protectant or window treatments....
https://caredge.com/conciergeEmail me if you want more information and I can get you in touch with him, like I said, it's not free, and nothing is, but, you might find it's a better experience than running around to all the Toyota dealers in TX to find the car and then negotiate the deal...

PrefontaineFamily Toyota in Burleson or Arlington. They are a MSRP only dealership. I bought my last Toyota out of state because the Yota stealers are so bad here. But Family is one that got brought up, multiple times, that don’t charge ADM. You’ll still have to deal with Gulf States Toyota, which is the Toyota distributor for our region. Expect to see port add ons, on the Monroney sticker. $500 - $1000 worth of bs the port adds. Try to negotiate out of it, but good luck on that.
What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

blueyeI listen to Jerry Reynolds from the Car Pro Show. His recommendation is Freeman Toyota in Hurst. Check out his website. Stay away from Grapevine Toyota.

IntrepidTravelerInteresting. I ChatGPT’d (is that a term?) Gulf States Toyota against other options. I am also able to purchase in SC/GA (Augusta GA area), and that may save me hundreds to thousands.

BigSwedeShop the Atlanta area, very competitive with pricing as there is a ton of dealers in the area. I can think of about 10 within 20 miles of each other. The two big boys, Mall of GA and Atlanta Toyota are about 5 miles apart

I was going to suggest using Grok / AI. But I would start the dialogue with "I want to buy a Rav 4 from a reliable source at the lowest cost. What are my best options?
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I bought my 2026 Tundra at Family in Arlington last October.
I went in to look at a used (2K miles) 2025 Tundra, but they made me a better deal on the new one.
A better interest rate as well to buy new.
I bought it on Halloween, so they wanted to sell it before the end of the month.
Paid around $3K under the sticker price.
Family also gave me more for my trade when I told them I was going to visit Carmax down the street to see what they would offer me.
I used Michael Vasquez for my salesman; I didn't know him before then.
