After ordering the 1st week of September the Ranger 150 for the boy finally arrived.
It came with decent helmets. I ordered a couple sets of Dragon Lil D goggles.
As we quickly learned last night the headlights suck!

So any suggestions for a light bar or pods?
As always made in the states is best. But that can be tricky or crazy expensive in the LED world.

Diode Dynamics 12” Stage Series looks pretty good. $160 with harness. Not sure which pattern to get though.
Kind of thinking flood would give the greatest visibility for close to moderate distance without having a big hot spot.
This is only a 150 so not much of speed demon so distance brightness is not as much or a concern.

Look to be on a 8 week back order.
Anyone know of any other US made kits?

Baja and Rigid are just silly expensive

I have the 12” version of this on an SUV for off-road. https://www.rockymountainatvmc...tusk-led-light-bar-p

It’s very bright. I think the 6” for the UTV should be good, if the electrical will handle it.

While not USA, I bought an LED bar for the Golf Cart off Amazon for $24, it's well made, came with the wires and switch, so far it works very well.

They have all kinds of shapes and sizes, like your project I wasn't interested in super high end off road lighting, since it's just an add on head light.

I'd pop a couple on each side and one on the back as well so you can light up areas where you stop, never know, might be Zombies out there...

Not cheap. I saw these on a couple of off road race bikes. There is an option for a set with one wide beam and one long range pinpoint beam. They were the brightest at the races and everyone was asking the team about them

If you don’t want to spend Rigid or Baja money check out caliraisedled.com They have a 2 year warranty on their led bars. I recently had to contact them about a fog light I bought almost a year ago that got moisture in it. I sent them a picture and they replaced it with no hassle.

Some US parts, decent warranty, and well regarded in the Oregon construction and logging industry. Wide variety of bars and light types. Sale going on now.

I know you may think Baja Designs is crazy expensive ...and they can be but there are some more moderately priced units like this..

We saw a demonstration of BD lights compared to some of their competitors and at night there is no comparison. I have a light bar that integrates into the grill of my F-350 and it literally turns night into day. I’m now trying to decide which one to get for my Gladiator...

Can I borrow some scratch??
Rigid 6” is not terrible at $140 but not sure one 6” would be enough.

Baja’s 10” is like $360

Jeremy,

Buy once, cry once. These are the way to go. Incredibly bright, and the way they project the light is second to none.
