This pan was my mom's (she is 95) and said she can remember it when she was a kid. Any ideas on age or manufacture? This one I picked up recently only markings on it I can see are in the pics, same as above, any ideas on age or manufacture? Thanks, Archerman

Wagner Ware? Sometime around the turn of the century I'd say.

Looks like it was after 1922 but before 1935. In 1922 the "-0-" was added to the markings. In 1924 they started to move the logo to the center of some pans. That is it still near the edge and not moved to the center means it's the early form of the "-0-" _____________________________________ Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. I believe I have that exact pan (the second one). If so, it is very likely it is a BSR (Birmingham Stove and Range). Not sure of how old. I grew up eating from it.

Nice pan. Close to 100 years old. Search this forum for a good thread on cleaning/maintenance. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

It's most likely a post 1960 skillet since it's marked "Made in USA"

How is that possible if the woman is 95 and remembers the pan from her childhood? In the 1960s she'd be in her forties. Demand not that events should happen as you wish; but wish them to happen as they do happen, and you will go on well. -Epictetus

^^^^ The OP is showing 2 pans, not one. The two pan pictures are separated be some text. Not sure and I have a few also that I don't know about. My joy comes from restoring them and then using to cook. I picked up an older Dutch oven with out the lid for a decent price a few weeks ago. I'll use it to fry since I have a Field Dutch oven. Enjoy. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

In every cast iron skillet thread, I ALWAYS post my favorite YT on how to clean and restore..... "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Despite owning much more expensive pots and pans I cook mostly on black iron. My wife prefers the newer stuff, but she was raised on Magnalites. It's a tradition still very much alive among my family and friends. Most have been passed down for at least three generations. Most of my larger iron pots used for cooking outside were bought in relatively recent times. They have legs and rimmed covers. It's what I learned on, but it's a tradition slowly slipping away among the younger generations. In this part of the country, well used skillets and dutch ovens can be had cheap at yard sales. I hope you use and enjoy yours. ________________________ "Red hair and black leather, my favorite color scheme"
