Good afternooon, SF.

There's a Windows PC on the desk, and a MacBook Pro that floats around the house. I used Firefox as my browser on both.

On the Mac, the Twitter things that people embed show right up. On the PC, they don't.

I'm pretty sure that has to do with settings within Firefox, but darned if I can figure out which. I tried solutions from several things read on the web today, but so far it's just not happening.

Give a fella some guidance? Thanks!

God bless America.

Maybe try a different browser as a test.

On the PC, SF Twitter embeds show up when using Brave, Chrome, or Edge, but not Firefox.

On the Mac, the embeds show up using either Firefox or Safari.

God bless America.

I've noticed this as well.

I don't have a Mac but they show on my Android phone but not on my PC with Firefox.

Doesn't Firefox have thing thing where your settings can be unified across browsers? I think this requires a "Firefox account" and is a fairly recent development.

Likely a settings issue. From a previous post.

quote:
In the settings section, under the Privacy & Security tab, if I have it set to "Strict", the embedded posts from twitter did not display.
If I chose Custom and changed the Tracking Content option from Only in Private Windows to In All Windows, the embed did not display.
Choosing Standard and the embed did display normally.

Just tried this and it seems to have worked for me.
Under the "custom" settings the tracking content was set to all windows. I changed it to Only in private windows and they are showing now.

Hey, Patrick, thank you for the link you your messages in the other thread.

Following that path, I did add https://sigforum.com/ into the Manage Exceptions section and save the changes... still no good.

What can I try next?

God bless America.

Aha! I found it.
In the address bar, there's a small icon that looks like a shield. Clicked that, then set the Enhanced Tracking Protection slider to off. All set!

I hope I didn't break anything else in the process.

God bless America.

Glad you got that working. I saw your post a little while ago but I’m not at my desk right now.
I didn’t notice this was sort of a continuation of your question in the other thread.

I think I didn't either -- I apparently had forgotten about the previous thread until you linked it yesterday.

God bless America.
