Thank you. A lead fizzled.

A close friend of mine, 31 years retired IT uc (now open), needs to consult with a former open counsel for the company (agency) presently in private practice regarding the workman's comp process within the company (agency). Or with a former closed counsel, now open, also in private practice.

Such counsel's practice can be located in any state. An email to my attention with the name and telephone number of such an individual will be appreciated.

Thank you, Sig2340. Not yet, I'm waiting for him to log in to the forum. Don't want to occupy his time with this while he's attending other matters, including any Labor day activities. It's not like the situation is of an emergency nature.

There are two main factors that affect the search, objective and subjective. Thing is there are but a handful of individuals that have dealt with the issue. For apparent reasons, the knowledge they are privy to, is not something that can be readily published. If something is published, and it has, it is only of a general nature. And it's highly improbable that there is a Bar directory anywhere. Being open doesn't equate with wide-open-book.

Subjectively there is a higher concern. Not everyone is willing to get involved in a process that could affect the company. Simple matter, where loyalty lies. Boiled down to its bare minimum, empathy towards a client. It lies where it lies.

So it's a tall order, we are aware of that.

Saw it this morning and didn't respond because I know jack shit about the details of how a particular employer in Florida administers its WC program, let alone whether that would be in compliance with FL WC statutes (which i also know nothing about).

We can talk WC in general and policy terms all day, and if this were a MD question, I'd be your guy.

Glad to see Artie took care of you.

Thank you, BurtonRW.

I apologize to anyone that might have been misguided by my use of words and terms. Such use was intentional with the hope that the specific words and terms used were duly recognized by someone familiar with them. And, of course, elicit a specific response. There are only a handful of attorneys that handle those cases, exclusively intra-company (intra-agency).

Can't complain. It happens. All's well.

Regardless, the wheels are in motion.

Thank you all again.
