I will be replacing my surfboard tomorrow…. With no tech help. Will be a DOCSIS 3.1 surfboard.

Is this a straightforward thing or am I opening myself up to connectivity failure should I fumble the install?

If this is your cable modem/router all you need to do is call the cable company to ping it and activate it because it has a unique address. Everything else just plug and play.

Speed test indicates 340 MBPS download and 21 MBPS upload.

I am paying for 200 MBPS... previous surfboard and plan clocked in at 116 MBPS.
