Eating elephants one bite at a time |
[Drift]In the early years of hot spots (specifically verizon) the hotspot also created a wireless network. Verizon would never confirm this, so I tested my theory. While able to check the amount of data used online, I established a baseline for a few days of no use. I then connected 2 laptops to the device and transferred something like 2GB of data from one to the other. Watched the account, and that data transfer never showed up. After that, I often used it while out and about on the job to do file transfers if I didn't have a null modem cable. I am not sure if this was ever meant to be or just an easter egg.[/drift] | |||
