My wife and I enjoy exploring antique shops, garage sales, flea markets and the such. Yesterday I think we came across a most remarkable photograph.

This photo is printed on Fuji Professional paper and has the long string of alpha numeric characters printed on the back. I believe it to be an original print.

The one we found is very similar to the one presented below. So similar in fact that I'm certain they both were taken during the same photo session.

Research indicates this photo was taken on August 3, 1965 in London. Anyone know someone who could appraise this photo for us?

There are clubs where people trade these things. It's probably worth a signed Captain & Tennille glossy.

Easy way to find out would be to throw it on Ebay. Anyone interested in that type of stuff would probably be watching. If you don't want to let it go for whatever the auction results are, put a reserve.

Be sure to put a large, prominent watermark on it before posting it on eBay, otherwise people will copy it.

Doesn't have to be fancy. On old wartime photos that people are selling, I've seen as simple as taking a digital photo of image, then opening the image in MS Paint and putting some freehand bright red lines and circles in various places around the image.

Just be sure the watermark is over the main portion of the photo. If you hide it down in the corner, someone can just crop it out and still copy it.

I am sure it is an original print, used for publicity purposes. Sonny and Cher's agents, network, or label probably printed them by the hundreds if not thousands.

I wouldn't expect it to be worth the price of a new car, but I would guess it might be worth a hundred bucks, more or less. It isn't autographed is it? I suspect these aren't super rare, and Sonny and Cher aren't Elvis or the Beatles.

This company can tell you what its worth. It is the lady from Antiques Roadshow who appraises pop culture collectibles, ephemera, etc.
