My siblings and I would like a reference for a reputable, trustworthy company to dismantle a civil war era barn. Does anyone have any experience with doing this? ... stirred anti-clockwise.

I would contact Mark Bowe of the show Barnwood Builders, they are out of the White SUlfer Springs, WV area, you might even get on TV, they go after pre-civil war cabins and barns, if it's in good shape they buy it, dismantle it and resell the old timbers. If it's that old and much of the barn is in decent shape you should be able to get it sold vs pay to take it down. https://www.diynetwork.com/shows/barnwood-builders https://www.facebook.com/MarkBoweTV/ There is a contact link on the FB page..

You might check out Creekside Barn Recycling. http://creeksidebarn.com/ Brad, the owner, is a good man.

It's an interesting show and his guys are all characters. It would be a fun opportunity if he bought your barn to see it repurposed.

There is a guy in Delta who buys old barn wood to repurpose. https://www.antiquebeamsandboards.com/ NRA Life member NRA Certified Instructor "Our duty is to serve the mission, and if we're not doing that, then we have no right to call what we do service" Marcus Luttrell

If he does, we need to have a SF meet at the farm while they shoot the show!
